The owners spent many years abroad before returning to New Zealand to build their Sri Lankan influenced dream home. They purchased a large flat coastal site for their home designed with an indoor/outdoor tropical setting. It included a freeform natural pool landscaped with native plants to create a private and tranquil oasis. They imported Italian roof tiles, antique wood paneling and doors to add to the atmosphere.
